What is wrong with this picture (besides the fact that my kids look less than thrilled to be shopping)? No, it’s not the fact that ALL of the size 4 Huggies diapers were sold out so I couldn’t take advantage of the $3 Register Rewards Huggies deal this week at Walgreens (although I was pretty bummed about that). It’s the size of the cart. If I want to buy something, where do I put it?! It’s hard enough with two kids but with a third on the way, I am really wondering how I’ll ever be able to leave the house! Why is it that every thing seems to be designed for one child- two at the most? When I go grocery shopping my son begs for the “car cart”. I dread it because it’s nearly impossible to steer and the actual shopping basket is tiny. Besides, most grocery stores only have one or two of these and I can never find them when I need them!
Maybe it’s the lack of sleep or the nausea that has set in but I’m pretty cranky over the fact that drugstore carts are incredibly small. Moms of three or more please give Mindy and I some advice on how to handle day to day tasks like grocery shopping- we need all the help we can get!
Drug stores are the worst with 3 I have to have to wear the baby, my 2 year old goes in the seat and the 4 year old holds my hand and I just PRAY she behaves. That or I go alone at night which I hate!
I always ask the same question! I have 3 children under 3. The only answer I ever get is to not bring your kids to the store with you! Of course that isn’t very realistic!
A friend of mine uses the mommy hook to hook 2 carts together like a train. I have twins and i hate the double cart, I never have enough room for food.
I had the same problem at CVS with size 5 diapers. It is hard shopping with a little one. I can’t imagine two.
I second the wear your baby comment while you can, and then look forward to the day when your oldest can push a second cart with your toddler in it. I am very blessed to have an 11-yr-old and a toddler, so my oldest pushes the basket while I shop. Before I was pregnant with my 3-yr-old, he would push the basket also, but I can’t remember how old he was when he could start that.
