The sillies are crazy little creatures that live inside of us and need to be shaken out! DJ Lance Rock and everyone’s favorite cast of colorful characters are calling all fans to get ready to jump, shake and shimmy them out at the new live tour Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE!: Get the Sillies Out!. Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE!: Get The Sillies Out! tour will visit more than 50 cities across the U.S. in 2013. Yo Gabba Gabba! LIVE! is touring in support of their first national beverage launch, a new line of toys, a new line of kids sportswear and a DVD/ CD collectors’ edition.
Last night our family had the opportunity to experience the Yo Gabba Gabba! Live! Get the Sillies Out! Tour. What an adventure! We don’t get into the city much so that in itself was pretty exciting. A typical rainy day:
The Comicon event was taking place right down the street from the Paramount Theater so we got to see some interesting characters on the way in. Since the show was at 5 pm and we live a couple hours away (with traffic) I packed the kids a sack dinner to eat on the way. It’s funny how kids get so excited about things like that but having something to do on the way helped pass the time.
It took a bit longer than we expected to get there which actually worked out pretty great because we didn’t have to wait long for the show to start. Since this was the second Yo Gabba Gabba show we’ve been to, we knew that there would be light up toys for sale. We paid $10 each for them last time. This year I bought some glow sticks from the dollar store to save some money. While not nearly as cool as they toys they sell, the glow sticks were a decent replacement that the kids were happy with.

You’ll enjoy all of your favorite Yo Gabba Gabba songs like “I Like to Dance”, “Get the Sillies Out”, “There’s a Party in My Tummy” and more. These songs are so catchy I found myself dancing along with my kids. We had so much fun!

I can’t speak or all theaters but the Paramount is wonderful. The stage can be easily seen from anywhere. There is a large screen behind the stage and the characters move around a lot. At one point a saxophone player even came out into the audience and high-fived some kids! The show is loud but not too loud. If your child has extra sensitive ears, some ear protection might be recommended. My kids didn’t have any complaints about the volume. My oldest however, who is a little sensitive to light didn’t like it when the lights were directed out into the audience. I don’t think most people would even notice but bright light has always bothered him.
Over all, this show is a lot of fun and a wonderful family experience we’ll be reminiscing about for years to come!
