Another great movie has just been added to our movie collection. My kids, all three of them, aged 2 to almost 6, really enjoyed A Monster In Paris. Friday nights are movie nights at our house and I’m sure this one will be making it into the regular rotation of favorites!
In collaboration with EuropaCork, Shout!Factory will release A Monster in Paris on April 16, 2013 on DVD, Blu-ray 3D & 2D as well as a digital copy available in the combo pack. The story is set in the city of Paris circa 1910. When a quirky inventor, his camera-crazy pal and a monkey are let loose inside a mad scientist’s lab, an enormous mistake is made. Potions and lotions are accidentally combined in a spilled mess which accidentally results in Franc, a “monster”. What this trio doesn’t realize is that Franc has a soft heart and a passion for music. Franc becomes popular with the help of a nightclub singer named Lucille. A police commissioner running for mayor gets in the way. Lucille and the scientists band together to protect Franc and stop the commissioner from reaching his ultimate goal. The movie is laced with beautiful music sung by Vanessa Paradis and Sean Lennon as well as musical scores by popular French singer/songwriter Matthieu Chedid and Patrice Renson. This critically acclaimed international major motion picture can be enjoyed by the whole family!
