Finding healthy foods my kids will eat is like finding a needle in a haystack. I’m always skeptical of products that claim to taste great but are full of health benefits. When I heard about MacroLife Naturals Macro Coco Greens and Macro Berri Reds they sounded too good to be true. The packaging claims “Super Taste Kids Love” But would these nutrient rich super-foods live up to their “best tasting” statement? Let’s see how they measure up:

Both of these products come in powdered form and were designed to be mixed into milk (or almond milk, soy milk, etc). It can also be mixed with water or added to a smoothie. As I mentioned before, I was pretty skeptical. The serving recommendation is to mix one scoop into 5-7 oz of cold milk so that’s how my kids sampled it. I poured the milk then added the powder. It didn’t mix up very well so it was a little lumpy. That didn’t bother my kids a bit. All three of them finished every last drop within a couple of minutes. I also tasted both flavors and was surprised that they actually tasted good. I think I’ll join my kids at snack time tomorrow when I’ll add some ice and use the blender. What a treat! That should solve the mixing problem.
The cost per serving of Macro Greens and Macro Reds is as low as $0.66! A 15 serving canister sells for $12, 32 servings $22.99 and $42 for 62 servings. Compared to similar products, this is a really good value! Personally, I don’t think you can put a price on getting your kids to consume something so healthy for them!
