HABA is the exclusive US distributor of Lillliputiens, a line of small fairytale rattles, puppets and dolls created by Belgian mothers. The toys, patterns, fabric and characters are designed by a team of 5 young moms and are handmade with care in Asia. My daughters were instantly taken with the Baby Eline Lilliputien Doll. Everything about this toy was well thought out. First, the little basket bed with handles is genius. My girls love carrying around anything that resembles a purse. Secondly, the adorable little doll comes dressed in pajamas that are easy to remove and put back on and a matching blanket. Both of these items allow the girls to care for their baby by dressing her and tucking her in. The icing on the cake is that the blanket, basket and outfit are all reversible for a different look and double the fun!
I thought my girls might fight over this new toy. I was pleasantly surprised however when they starting taking care of Baby Eline together. They took turns carrying her around and played quietly together for quite some time when they were first introduced to her. Weeks later they still play with the baby and it warms my heart to see how gently they care for her. Parker, my youngest (pictured above), loves carrying the baby around in her little basket, even taking her in the car. I’d highly recommend this doll!
