I can hardly believe that today is the last day of school! I’ve got a first grader on my hands! I’ve been looking for ways to keep my kids busy this summer. All of them have shown an interest in tennis. Have you heard about the program called 10 and Under Tennis? It was formed in conjunction with tennis equipment manufacturers like HEAD/Penn to make the sport easier and less intimidating for younger players. With smaller courts, lower nets, bigger racquets and bigger tennis balls, young children can learn the concepts of the sport and improve their technique with equipment sized just for them.
Since everything is portable and can be set up anywhere (your garage, driveway, playground, etc.) it’s easy to get out and get active! Plus, it’s a great family activity that everyone can participate in!

My husband played tennis in high school and since I’m not much of an athlete, he’s been looking forward to playing with our kids. It’s great to start them out young. We all go out to the court and hit balls around. Even when the girls (age 4 and 2) get bored, at least we’re still outside in the fresh air! My oldest who is 6 is a little more into it. The racquets are just the right size with a shorter handle and lighter weight — much better than the other kids racquets we’ve used in the past. I’d definitely recommend these products for any littles with an interest in tennis!
