Today is the day, the very first $5 Charity Challenge. I’d like to give you a $5 gift card to spend at CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart or Rite Aid on items you can donate to your local church, food pantry, homeless shelter or other charitable organization in your area.
Here’s what you need to do. Just post your very best scenario for spending $5 at any of the above stores using actual coupons you have on hand and then link back to your post using Mr. Linky below. Don’t have a blog? Then leave your scenario in a comment. Be sure to include the items, coupons, store and total, along with your email address.
On Tuesday evening at 8 p.m. ET I’ll randomly select a winner and will mail out the $5 gift card on Wednesday morning (so please make it easy as possible for me to contact you quickly for your mailing address). I’d like to do my best to get the gift card to you before the end of the week’s sales.
All that I ask is that you take a photo of what you bought using the $5 gift card and either send me a link to the blog post you write about the charitable donation or just email me the photo and charity name. I’d love to promote your good work.I’m really looking forward to your participation and to working together to help those in need in our local communities.
Be sure to check out her post and donate for a good cause!
do you know what’s walgreens policy on getting rebates on items that you used coupons on? e.g. rebate item is $3.99, and i used a coupon $2 off, so i actually only paid $1.99. Do you know if i’ll be reimbursed 3.99 or only 1.99 if using the online rebate?
You should be reimbursed for the full price (the price BEFORE coupons)
