My six year old son is a huge fan of Marvel characters like Spiderman, Iron Man and the Hulk. He also watches Phineas & Ferb from time to time so when he found out that Mavel was pairing up with one of his favorite cartoons he thought it was the greatest and a little bit silly. I have to agree. It’s really funny seeing the two together!
I thought [amazon_link id=”B00DQR8Z3S” target=”_blank” ]Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel[/amazon_link] was a movie but in fact it has 7 episodes rather than a full length movie. They include:
- Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel
- Fly on the Wall
- Sidetracked Part 1 & 2
- Primal Perry Part 1 & 2
- Backyard Hodge Podge
- Where’s Pinky
- Knot My Problem/ Mind Share
The total running time is about 145 minutes. Here’s the official synopsis from the press release:
“After Dr. Doofenshmirtz’s latest “-inator” scheme accidentally removes the powers of some very well-known Marvel Super Heroes (Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor, and Hulk), the heroes enter the world of Danville and team up with Phineas and Ferb to relocate their powers, defeat the Marvel Super Villains (Red Skull, MODOK, Whiplash and Venom) – who have also shown up to steal Doofenshmirtz’s power-draining technology – and save Danville from ultimate destruction!”
I just like saying Doofenshmirtz. And I say it all the time just to bug my kids (and because it gets stuck in my head). They like the movie so they put up with me 🙂
My son was pumped that the DVD came with a collectible comic book and one of 3 exclusive posters which are packaged at random. We got the one that looks like the box art shown above. We always love a bonus.
You might recognize some of the character’s voices. They come from a long list of all stars including Vincent Martella from Everybody Hates Chris, Ashley Tisdale, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster from Game of Thrones to name a few.
My kiddos always get a DVD in their stocking and this one would have been perfect. I couldn’t resist giving it to them though!
