Despicable Me is one of MY favorite movies and I had been looking forward to Despicable Me 2 for a long time before it hit the theaters.  We took our kids to go see it and then couldn’t wait for it to come out on Blu-ray so we could enjoy it over and over again at home.  The movie did not disappoint!  Who can resist more of those lovable Minions??

We gave the movie to the kiddos for Christmas and of course we had to watch it right away so we took it over to grandma and grandpa’s on Christmas morning so we could all watch it together.  My girls always love to snuggle during movie time and I was super happy to have some time off to spend with everyone without distractions.  I got some snuggles too (and Hey!  A sunny Christmas day in the Seattle area!):

Movies are a traditional stocking stuffer in our family but since we knew this one would be loved by the whole family, it was a bonus gift!  Another Christmas tradition in our family is Chex Mix.  My hubby lives for the stuff!

Every year I try to get him to try a different recipe from the original, maybe a sweet version (to satisfy my sweet tooth!) but he never goes for it.  He made a GIGANTIC batch of original Chex Mix this year but we got this new recipe for Minion Munch Chex Mix that kids (and everyone else but my hubby) will love:

I’m not that big of a fan of banana with one exception, when it’s combined with chocolate and peanut butter.  YUM!  This unique Chex Mix recipe really hits the mark!  Give it a whirl and be sure to check out www.chex.com for more recipes!
