February is National Children’s Dental Health Month: Firefly Oral Care #Giveaway

February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. Good oral health begins with developing good brushing habits at an early age.  I speak from experience when I say that it isn’t always easy.  With three kiddos that all need help brushing, morning and night time teams can be a challenge.  Mornings we are usually in a hurry to get everyone ready and out the door but we never skip brushing.  In the evenings, mom and dad are often ready for a break after a long day and admit to rushing through brushing sometimes but again, we never skip.  One thing that really helps is using toothpaste that the kids like.  Their favorite is Firefly’s foam toothpaste. Not only does it come in fun character packaging (Angry Birds, Barbie and Spiderman) but it’s bubblegum flavor too.  I’ve tried it myself and I like it! The foaming action immediately flushes out food particles from hard to reach areas of the mouth. It’s perfect for those with braces too.

Say goodbye to traditional pastes and gels that result in clogged tubes and leave countertops messy and say hello to a new way to brush! The pump container dispenses bubblegum flavored foam right into your child’s mouth. I love how quick and easy it is to dispense, plus, the no-mess aspect! One of my favorite things about this toothpaste is that it’s pre-portioned (1 squirt or 2) so there is no over-foaming of the mouth and a huge mess.  My kids love this stuff —  It’s definitely a product I will continue to buy.  You can find it at Target, Walgreens, Amazon.com, Drugstore.com and other fine mass market retailers.  It retails for around $2.99.

 

Firefly has also updated their toothbrushes with matching characters.  They have a light-up timer that looks like a traffic light —Green for go, yellow for halfway done, and red for finished so kids know exactly how long they need to brush for.  As a bonus, the toothbrush has a suction cup built right in so that it can be stored upright on the counter for improved hygiene and less clutter.  The toothbrushes retail for around $3.99 at Target, Kroger and Meijer, Amazon.com and Drugstre.com.
