M is for Monster, an affordable and educationally based monthly activity kit for preschoolers and toddlers is a subscription service that provides everything you need for a month of preschool activities with four weekly themes (2-3 projects per week).

As a busy work-at-home mom of 2 preschoolers I appreciate the time, not to mention money, that these kits save. I don’t have to take any time to plan projects and purchase all the supplies needed to complete them. M is for Monster Kits come with a lesson plan and individually packaged project kits including all of the supplies you need to complete them. Here’s what was in my kit:

While there is a discount for ordering a second set, I chose to use my kit to spend some one-on-one time with my 5 year old while my 3 year old naps. She LOVES to do projects of all kinds and we really liked the variety of projects that this kit offered.

Our first project was gluing tissue paper to the upper and lower case “R”s printed on a piece of paper. McKinley loves anything that involves glue and she really enjoyed making a rainbow out of the tissue paper pieces. She tried a couple different techniques gluing the pieces on.

McKinley was excited about the rainbow theme as she made her second project in which she colored half of a paper plate yellow, glued on ribbon streamers and attached clothes pins as the sun’s rays. I suspect she’ll be returning to this project when she realizes she can color the clothes pins with her marker to make them match the sunshine.
