The sunshine is out and there’s a warm breeze. It’s my favorite time of year. School is almost out. Seniors are having grad parties. Children are putting the finishing touches on their handmade Father’s Day gifts in class so they can bring them home. Celebration is in the air. Life just feels GOOD.
Just a few short weeks ago my kids tee ball practices were often miserable. It was rainy and cold. Now though, even if the sun isn’t out, the temperature is pleasant. This is the time of year that everyone gets outside to enjoy it. Baseball is the great American past time. Everyone loves baseball, right? If you’re hosting a barbecue or any other outdoor event, consider the Poweralley Baseball Lite Pitching Machine for a bit of entertainment. Our whole family has enjoyed batting practice sessions over the past few weeks. Even our 3 year old has given it a try with a little help.
Set up is easy right out of the box and you’ll be hitting balls in a matter of minutes. Just plug the machine in and when the batter is ready, drop a ball into the machine. It’ll take a few pitches to adjust the aim and distance from the batter but after that, it throws pretty accurate over the plate. Depending on the type of balls you use, it pitches up to 60 mph. It’s suited more for recreational use or for younger players. A PowerAlley Ball Feeder can be purchased separately. It feeds a dozen balls through, pitching one every 9 seconds.
The machine features an adjustable height tripod and the angle of the ball shooter can also be adjusted. This makes it quite versatile because you can use it to practice catching grounders, pop flys and more in addition to working on your batting skills. We have an extra long garage so we’ve got it set up in there for now. It’s nice to have an indoor area, especially in the Seattle area where it rains a lot.
For parties or when the weather is nice, it’s easy enough to move outside. Since it’s electric, an extension cord will likely be needed. The Poweralley Baseball Lite Pitching Machine is the perfect fit for our family. It’s a great price too, especially compared to other machines. We got ours at Rakuten.com Shopping where it’s currently only $119.99 with free shipping! Plus, you’ll earn 120 Rakuten Super Points.
