Can you imagine my excitement when a package of Ciao Bella Gelato and Sorbetto showed up on my doorstep? I didn’t know which one to try first! They all sounded amazing (and they were!) If you aren’t familiar with “gelato” and sorbetto” let me try to describe them. Gelato is like a really creamy ice cream while sorbetto is more like a sherbet and usually fruit flavored. It’s more tart and not creamy though the texture is smooth.
Don’t ask me to pick a favorite flavor because all of them were outstanding. I didn’t care for the Caffe Macchiato but if you are true coffee lover, you’d probably fall in love. I like my coffee super sweet but this had a very strong coffee flavor. Unfortunately I didn’t get to try the Pistachio flavor but the hubs assures me it was divine (thanks for sharing, honey!). My kids and I really liked the coconut and pineapple flavors together in the same bowl and the Blood Orange was decadent! Plus, Burbon Chocolate Caramel. Need I say more?

Frosted Italian Strawberry Limonata
1 container of Ciao Bella Wild Italian Strawberry Limonata sorbetto
Vodka or rum of your choice
San Pellegrino Limonata
Frozen and fresh strawberries
Combine 2oz. of Wild Strawberry Limonata sorbetto and 2oz. of vodka or rum in a blender, blending for 5-10 seconds until mixture is slushy. Pour in mason jars and fill with San Pellegrino Limonata. Stir gently with a spoon until slushy. Add in frozen strawberries to serve as fun ice cubes and garnish with a fresh strawberry and a red and white straw.
