Couponmate: An Easy Way to Save Every Time You Shop

I’m always looking for ways to save money, especially this time of year when I’m shopping and spending more. I want to make sure I’m getting the best deals but also not spending tons of extra time doing so. Time is valuable! Couponmate is a new browser extension designed by a small team of developers that is an awesome tool for all of your online shopping. Their goal was to create the best user experience possible. I think they’ve achieved that! No matter what website you are shopping on you’ll have easy access to all of the deals and coupons with the click of a button. Let me walk you through how it works:

First, download the Couponmate browser extension for Chrome HERE. (It is currently only available for Chrome browsers.Versions for Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Safari are currently in development)

You’ll see the CouponMate tool extension in the upper right hand corder of your browser. It looks like this:

I was doing some shopping at Kohls.com so I tried it out. When I clicked on the icon on my browser bar, a column of potential coupon codes pops up on the right hand side of my screen. I can copy the code just by clicking on it. This is the most common way to use CouponMate as it’s the most widely supported.

The “Find Best Coupon” feature is another CouponMate tool which will search through all of the possible coupon codes and automatically apply the best code for your purchase. Not as many websites support this tool however the list is growing everyday as more stores are added! Kohl’s is one of them so I was able to give it a whirl.

When I was checking out and came to the promo code area, I clicked on the CouponMate browser icon again. A small box appears that looks like this:

I clicked on “Find Best Coupon” and the tool immediately went to work trying different coupon codes.

It was pretty impressive how it worked. In the background I could see it trying different codes.

It quickly settled on a code for 20% off and free shipping. I checked this against my usual methods of finding coupon codes and found that it was accurate. You will still have to be aware of stackable codes though. For instance, if I had purchased jewelry, I would have been able to apply an additional code for $10 off $50. That’s why it’s best to use both of CouponMates tools together to double check for extra codes that may work together.
