This arrived on my doorstep today. If you saw my excitement, you might have though there was a luxury item inside. Instead, the contents of the box included things like toilet paper, plastic forks and a variety of snacks. You’re darn right I was excited! Now I’m stocked up on things we constantly run out of and I didn’t have to leave my couch, battle the traffic and crowds or accidentally spend more than I intended to.
Boxed is a mobile only service that offers the wholesale club shopping experience by delivering bulk sized products to your doorstep in two days or less. There are no membership fees and it’s a great way to save time and money on household essentials. My first shopping experience on Boxed was great. I had a $100 budget and a couple of must-have items on my shopping list. We are hosting a Super Bowl party at our house and I needed forks and plates. I had quite a bit of money left after adding those items to my cart and debated what I should spend the rest of the money on. Boxed offers health & beauty items, organic products, grocery items, kids & baby products including the Honest brand, and some other odds & ends.
First, I added things to my cart like sponges and rubber gloves, dishwashing tablets and toilet paper. Then I remembered how hard it is to keep snacks in the house. We always seem to run out mid-week and I end up making an unplanned trip to the grocery store. Boxed has a great selection of bulk snacks so I put back everything but the toilet paper and added the following snacks:
- Annie’s Organic Bunny Snacks Variety Pack (36 ct) — my kids love these and they are another item we often buy from Costco. I can’t remember the exact price but at $11.99 I’m almost positive it is the same price or less. The exact same product is $24.92 on Amazon!
- Frito Lay Classic Mix (54 ct) — These are perfect for the kids lunches and they’re only $14.99 compared to $16.46 on Amazon for a 50 count and shipping was almost $10! The ones with free shipping were $24.98 so this time you are actually getting MORE product for less money!
- Rice Krispies Treats (54 ct) — Boxed offers these for only $13.49 while Amazon has them priced at $16.99.
- Ritz Crackers ‘n Cheese Dip (30 ct) — I was shocked to see the significant price difference on these. I only paid $8.99 for them but Amazon is charging $19 for the SAME EXACT thing! Outrageous!
- Quaker Granola Bars (60 ct) — I paid $12.49 on Boxed but when I checked at Amazon, $19.62 for the exact product.
As you can see, I priced checked every item I ordered against Amazon’s prices and every single thing was lower priced at Boxed including the toilet paper, paper plates and forks! In some cases the price difference was pretty significant! I don’t know prices off the top of my head for Costco but we regularly buy Quaker granola bars there so I know the price. They were just a dollar more at Boxed, a price I will gladly pay for not having to deal with the crowd!
After just one shopping trip, I’m sold! Boxed was so easy to use, fast to ship and I could shop any hour of the day without dealing with crowds or traffic and loading and unloading cars and carts. It’s a no-brainer for me. Boxed is where it’s at for easy and efficient shopping!
Want to give Boxed a try? Use this invite code 6B282 to save $10 off your first order which will also ship for FREE. Most subsequent orders will also qualify for free shipping, but first you must meet a minimum order amount which varies by state. For me, in Washington state the minimum for free shipping is $50.
