Winter weather really takes a toll on my lips, and my kid’s lips too! It seems like if we don’t keep something on them constantly they get really dry and chapped. Ironically, some lip balm just make it worse. When I heard about Mwah, a new natural lip car alternative, I was really interested. Mwah products are natural and do not contain harmful chemicals or preservatives. The products are never tested on animals and are made in a 100% solar powered factory in southern California. Sounds like a cool company, right? They even donate a portion of all profits to the World Wildlife Fund.
The Mwah Collection includes three lip balm products: a slider tub, a stick and a gloss, all available in a variety of yummy flavors for girls looking for an irresistible pucker.
The Mwah Lip Balm Slider Tubs come in Coconut Chick, Mango Tango and Sweet Tart and sell for around $4 each.

The Lip Gloss comes in Berry licious, Peach Keen and Sugar Lips. It sells for around $3 each.
First of all, I love the packaging of all of these — it’s so girly and fun. The lipgloss tubes have an angled tip for easy application and the colors are either shimmery or a shiny gloss. I love having options and I like both of these ones. I’m kind of picky about the way my lip products smell/taste and all of Mwah products pass the test. Sweet!
The lip balm sticks are my favorite because I can use them anytime, anywhere. I keep one in my purse, one next to the bed and one in the kitchen (Weird? Maybe.) My 7 year old son will even let me use the balm sticks on him.
The gloss is probably the funnest — great for my makeup bag, my purse and my car. A girl can never have too much lip gloss!
The slider tubs have the cutest packaging but it’s not always convenient to use my finger to apply the balm. I don’t like these ones as much for on the go. I also worry that it might melt if I put it in my pocket.
All of Mwah products keep our lips soft and protected from dryness. Mango butter is the key ingredient. Here’s what the Mwah website has to say about why it chose to use Mango Butter:
Mango butter is one of the healthiest and most beneficial ingredients for the skin. When it comes in contact with skin it deeply hydrates and nourishes it.
Mango butter has great emolliency and provides excellent protection against the suns damaging UV radiation. It is said to prevent drying of the skin and formation of wrinkles as it provides the skin with moisture and vitamins A, C and E. Mango butter also reduces the degeneration of skin cells and restores elasticity. Mango butter’s hardness makes it a great butter for stick formulations such as lip balm and lotion bars.
Mango butter can also treat dry skin, heal skin peeling from tanning, heal sunburn, fight frost bite, and promote healthy, rejuvenated skin. Dermatologists often recommend mango butter for treatment of wrinkles, as many people who use it will notice decreased signs of aging and the disappearance of lines and wrinkles within 4 to 6 weeks of daily use.
