My 4 and 6 year old girls love Princess Sofia. I have to admit, I do too! Sofia learns valuable lessons and my kids learn right along with her. Plus, she wears a purple dress. And I love purple. Oh, and Tim Gunn is the voice of Baileywick and I just love hearing his voice! Seriously though, Sofia the First is a good role model that kids love and the new DVD Sofia the First The Curse of Princess Ivy is a fun adventure your kids will really enjoy. As an added bonus that my girls really enjoyed, the DVD comes with a necklace that changes color in the sunlight! Here’s more on the movie:

My kids have been enjoying watching Sofia the First on the Disney Junior since late last year when it premiered. Already the series holds the all-time record for the top two cable TV telecasts amoung kids ages 2-5. The show is all about the adventures of Princess Sofia as she learns how to be a princess when her mom marries the king. She doesn’t always make the right choices but she learns from her mistakes and discovers that kindness, generosity, loyalty, honesty and grace are the characteristics that make a real princess.
