I met my husband the summer between my junior & senior year. My girlfriend got into some poison nettles and we were going to walk eleven miles to a very tiny town with a general store post office gas station to get calamine lotion. The first day we saw a black bear and turned around. the next day we were walking on a gravel road with my two large dogs and two kids were riding a horse, they went back to the farm they were living on and told my husbands friend we were walking up the road. Well they came and offered us a ride, we put the dogs in the car & my girlfriend kept them in the car while we went into the general store, so we wouldn’t have to walk all the way back. So that summer changed my life , we married 15 months latter. This year will be 40! years, I cannot believe it.
