As a busy mom, I am all about convenience. I love to bake but it’s really hard to find the time. I think I love desserts even more than I love to bake so I’ll take ’em any way I can get them! I really love these new Ready to Bake mixes. The batter is ready to just squeeze into a pan and bake so you’ll have a hot from the oven dessert in just minutes.
My kids love them too! They get to help in the kitchen and I don’t have a huge mess to clean up! All of the batters are pre-mixed. You don’t have to add any additional ingredients (though I love to add peppermint essential oil to the brownies or lemon essential oil to the muffins). Ready to Bake mixes come from a family owned company based in Bordeaux, France. The mixes are made in France using traditional French recipes and high-quality ingredients. The Salted Butter Caramel Cake features Fleur de Sel from Guérande, an area of Brittany that is legendary for epicurean salts. I can assure you, it is delicious! Our “cupcakes” came out super moist and were melt in your mouth good!
The following READY TO BAKE LIQUID BATTER products were introduced to the US market in 2015 (all bake in about 10 minutes unless otherwise specified):
- Salted Butter Caramel Lava Cake: Based on a traditional French recipe; contains gourmet salt from Brittany.
- Chocolate Lava Cake: Rich, decadent, ooey-gooey goodness.
- Chocolate Cake: Indulgent and loaded with real cocoa.
- Brownies: Bakes in about 25 minutes. A French take on an American classic.
- Gluten-free Brownies: Just because it’s gluten-free doesn’t mean it can’t be delicious!
- Blueberry Muffins: Bakes in about 25 minutes. Loaded with real blueberries.
I love that I can keep these on hand in my pantry (for up to a year) for a delicious last minute dessert. They’re really affordable too at around $3.30 per pouch. So much cheaper than buying a pre-made dessert at the store! And such a huge time saver too!
Look for the READY TO BAKE LIQUID BATTER products at Central Market stores in Texas and at WINN DIXIE stores in Florida. Coming soon to Meijer stores through the Midwest and Kentucky. The products are also available for online order through igourmet.com.
