I’m always looking for fun and educational apps for my kids. Kuato Studios completely gets what I’m looking for — they offer engaging games with a learning focus that keeps kids interested as they explore and learn new things. Guilt-free gaming! My youngest is really digging their latest game, Safari Tales. Check out this trailer to learn more:

Safari Tales helps enhance literary skills in children ages 4-10. Kids can explore a 3D world with different places to visit, games to play and animals to discover. Throughout the game, kids will be reading in order to follow their quests, and can ask an in-game character, Darwin, real questions by selecting words and joining the together to form sentences. There are a few thousand responses with facts about animals, their eating habits, environment and more. This encourages kids to form sentence structure correctly, read and understand meaning.
At the end of each play session, an interactive storybook is created from a recording of their adventure. What I really love about these stories is that there are highlighted words that the kids can change using a list of synonyms. This really helps increase their vocabulary and puts them in control of their story. The stories can be saved and read over and over again to strengthen their literary skills.
The colorful graphics on this game are wonderful. The games are fun and engaging. There is even a “Parent Corner” that parents can use to set up their child’s reading age, the length of play time allowed and more.
