I’ve been using Mint now for nearly 18 months and I really like. I also have an elaborate excel file with my budget, but it is helpful to categorize all my purchases. It has the occasional drawbacks, but overall is a great site.
And for others wondering about the security (because I was hesitant), it has the exact same security systems in place as any other bank site. Since everything is just tied to the email address, I did make another account that doesn’t include my name or any other personally identifying information.
Highly recommend it–the best free finance software that I know about.
My husband and I use mint to track all our finances since we never use cash so it makes it really easy. It has cool features that show you trends in your spending over any period of time and you can make all your own custom budgets and make them roll over each month or not. Its a really good way to keep a budget!! I love it, and would highly recommend it
