Once you’ve got the tools, you need some great coloring books! As always, Barron’s comes through with some great designs. They offer unique books that inspire creativity and produce frame-worthy finished products! A new series of Night & Day books feature pages with unique colored backgrounds (black, blue or gold). The same image is done twice —once with a “day” effect and once with a “night” look. The page above is from the New York Night & Day book. I love that the pages are perforated so you can take them out to color them or frame them. I haven’t seen a book like this before and think the dark backgrounds are really cool! This book has designs featuring the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, the Apollo Theater, and more.

These pages are from “Autumn Magic” from the Color Magic series. designs include jack-o-lanterns and cornucopias, Halloween witches and spooky bats, trees crowned with leaves and harvest blooms just waiting for your splash of autumn color. I love the fall designs and can’t wait to color them over a cup of chai tea!
