I received a copy of the book and compensation for this post as part of a promotional program with MomSelect.
From as early as I can remember I’ve loved to read. I’ve always hoped my kids will love reading just as much as I do. What better way to instill the love of books than to read together? This summer my kids and I are reading Treasure Hunters: Peril at the Top of the World together. We’re a very busy family but always make time for reading! This book has 362 pages but the chapters are short which I love! It makes it easy to pick up and read whenever we have a few minutes to spare!
Though we haven’t read any of the other books (yet!) this is the 4th book in the Treasure Hunters series following the Kidd family on their adventures. We love reading books from a series because we can always look forward to the next one! We really get to know the characters and it’s fun to see how they develop throughout the books.
If you haven’t read chapter books with your kids, James Patterson books are a great place to start! He has written more #1 bestsellers for kids than any other living author! The books are also available in eBook editions and audio versions which are great for road trips!
Watch this video as my son reads a synopsis of the book:
We love the action in this book as well as the cool illustrations! Not every page has a picture but many of them do which really enhances the reading experience for kids that are wanting to read chapter books but still need some visual cues.
We like to snuggle and read in the morning and at night before bed. Sometimes we take a book along in the car so we can read while waiting for siblings sports practices etc. Jackson likes to read to me though this particular book is more challenging to read aloud because there are Italian words (names of places etc.) that are difficult to pronounce. It’s good practice though!
