I never had a huge problem of separation anxiety with my children. My daughter had a hint of it before she was a year old. I would have to sneak out of the house without her seeing me. My son does it from time to time, but after myself or my husband leave, he is fine the next minute. (Things are always different with your second or subsequent children, aren’t they?)
Well, there is great news for everyone that does have a child who has separation anxiety. One of my favorite authors with great parenting advice is at it again. Elizabeth Pantley has written a new book called “The No-Cry Separation Anxiety Solution.” Pantley gives great tips of how to leave your child for preschool and great tools to minimize your child’s anxiety such as establishing a routine, signify the milestone and give encouragement, for example. The book is for solutions on children aged in the first six months to six years of life.
Another great feature is that a free “magic” bracelet is included inside the book as a special tool for children to feel close to their parents-even when they’re not together. This reduces the anxiety in children as they can look at it and remind them of comfort.
The “The No-Cry Separation Anxiety Solution” retails for only $10 on Amazon.
