Summer has finally arrived in the Pacific Northwest. With my active, sensitive and fair-skinned children, a good sunscreen is a must. We’ve tried so many different brands and many leave their skin irritated. We just finished up our final baseball tournament with three full days spent in the heat and sun. We went through 2 bottles of z Blok Broad Spectrum SPF 45 Sunscreen for our family of 5 and not a single one of us came out with irritated skin. In fact, my kids commented about the smooth and non-greasy texture of the sunscreen which smoothed on easily — not like the goopy formulas of some other sunscreens we’ve tried.
I love that Z Blok is fragrance free as I think that is part of the irritation problem with other sunscreens. Z Blok is formulated with 10% zinc oxide which is highly waterproof. We spent hours in the pool before reapplying and it did it’s job well. It protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays to protect against skin cancer and premature aging of the skin. Most sunscreens are chemical based which tend to sting when water or sweat causes them to drip in the eyes. My kids never complained of this happening while wearing Z Blok in the pool and I also went swimming without any problems! It’s great stuff!
