Since I was a young pup I have had issues with canker sores and allergies. I have tried numerous products over the years and have come to the conclusion that each in their own right, do not have a “One size fits all” solution. I have tried *many products that have frustratingly had no effect on me. Swing the pendulum to the other side, and I have canker sore and allergy medicine that works so “well” on me, my entire mouth is numb all day long or I become a walking zombie.
Today, I am going to be sharing about two natural products for our Review and Giveaway; Canker Cover and OCEAN Complete Sinus Irrigation.
Canker sores are painful blisters that form on the inside of the mouth, cheeks, and inner lips, as well as on the tongue, affecting 56 million people annually. If left untreated, they can last from seven to 21 days, causing pain each time you eat, drink, chew, or move your mouth. While nobody knows for sure what causes canker sores, possibilities include increased stress, lower immunity, trauma (e.g. cheek bites, irritation from braces, etc.), vitamin B12 or iron deficiencies, hormonal changes or food allergies.
Canker Cover is the only over-the-counter canker sore treatment shown in clinical studies to significantly speed treatment. The pill shaped patch adheres to the sore and forms a gel patch that protects the sore, relieves the pain, and speeds treatment. In two separate clinical studies, Canker Cover was shown to heal most canker sores within 24 hours and to be more effective than benzocaine, the active ingredient in most canker sores products, at eliminating pain. No other canker sore products in the world have shown this result.
Canker Cover is also made from natural ingredients, including natural menthol, citrus oil and sea salt, which dissolves over time, offering immediate pain relief upon application while covering and protecting the lesion from bacteria and other irritants (e.g. movement, food, drink, orthodontia/dental appliances, etc.) for eight to 12 hours. Canker Cover provides immediate and long-lasting pain relief by steadily releasing pain-numbing menthol and other ingredients on the sore. In more cases, on patch completely treats a canker sore within 24 hours.
Suggested retail price is $9.99 for a box of six patches; available at drug stores, supermarkets and health food stores nationwide, and online at Canker Cover’s website.
The makers of Canker Cover are also offering a $2.00 coupon. Also, Canker Cover is also offering a $1.50 mail-in rebate.
You can also check out their new Healthy Mouth, Happy Mouth Facebook page where you can learn more about their product, get dental/oral health news, and ask questions to their resident oral care expert, dentist, Dr. Chris Kammer.
One winner will receive a Canker Cover box containing six patches. Find out how to win and enter *directly below* in the Giveaway Form. Also, be sure to check out all of our other giveaways HERE.

I just suffered with the worst sore that I have ever had. I think that it was caused by the sun (4 days of soccer games at a tournament for my two boys).
Kathy,
I feel terrible that you too suffer from canker sores. It must have been quite a painful experience for you to dub it “the worst sore I have ever had”! May you never experience anything like this again!
I have actually never heard of sores being caused by sun – I think mine tend to show up when I bite myself.
How did your boys do in the soccer tournament?
