I’ve always loved painted nails. Before I had kids I painted my nails several times a week. This was back before gel manicures and my polish would always chip after a couple of days on my long nails. Still, I’m pretty busy and don’t really like taking the time for my nails to dry. Applying the color strips was easier than I expected. First, just wipe your nails with the prep pad to remove any dirt and oils that can interfere with adhesion. Next, select the correct size for your first nail. Start with your pinky. Peel off the clear tab then peel the color strip off and apply it to your nail. Make sure to get as close to the cuticle as possible but not touching the skin. You can pull to stretch in a little for the best fit. Fold the end over the end of your nail and press. You can use the nail file to help remove the excess. This video shows how it’s done.
I had been contemplating black nails since Halloween and was going to do gel polish but I got some black Colorstreet polish strips instead. I also got some really pretty glitter polish strips so decided to do an accent nail. I love how they turned out!
