Pentel: Make it POP With Fun Family Crafts #PentelPOP #Giveaway (AD)

We are about month into summer vacation and not ready to think about Back to School yet. To be honest though, school supplies can be really fun, especially if you splurge and get the new Pentel POP Gel Pen Series Collector’s Edition! You’ll be able to save 50% on a set and have a chance to WIN some product as well but first, let me tell you a little more about these awesome gel pens!

Pentel POP Gel Pen Series Collector’s Edition includes all pop Series pens including milky pop (7), solar pop (6), and sparkle pop (8). We received a set and my two daughters and I tested them out by making greeting cards and a craft. Each collection inspired us in our creativity!

Sparkle Pop— This set was my personal favorite. These pens add a really cool and unique “Pop” of shimmering color. It’s hard to capture the vivid sparkle but you can see it here on this snowman’s nose, scarf and heart patch. These pens are more than just metallic — they really do sparkle! The colors are really amazing. The purple and blue remind my daughter of a mermaid. The “black” one actually comes out a very deep, dark red that has sort of a vampire vibe.

These pens will even show up on black paper for two different looks! My oldest daughter made this card for her friend. You can see how the colors stand out but you can’t quite see how sparkly and vibrant they really are until you experience them in person!

Milky Pop— These pretty, vivid pastel colored pens also work well on dark colored paper to make your artwork stand out. I think they are really pretty on white paper too! I made this greeting card design and stamped “what’s up?” onto it for a fun, any occasion note card.

Solar Pop— This set adds a “Pop” of neon color to any project. The vibrant fluorescent neon ink colors will glow under a blacklight and make your artwork really vibrant! My oldest daughter (age 9) is really crafty. She chose these adorable tiny canvas tote bags and some cute stamps to decorate them. She used the Solar Pop pens to add color to the designs. I always encourage “useful” art projects and these tiny totes are perfect for gift giving! We can create a set of notecards to put in them as a gift. They are also a nice size for a gift card or other small gifts!

Speaking of notecards, my youngest daughter (age 7) has a knack for drawing cute characters. I love the way this set of food themed cards came out. Aren’t they cute? She used pens from every collection but mostly the Milky POP set.

She really took her time on the watermelon one and we even experimented with smoothing out the pen lines with a wet paint brush. We are looking forward to putting the watercolor technique to use in future projects and finding different ways to use these super fun gel pens!
