I grew up just outside the city of Seattle and have lived in the area almost my entire life. There are a few iconic things that most people think of when they think of Seattle: The Space Needle, Pike Place Market and the first Starbucks location to name a few. There are many, many more things that make Seattle unique. The book 100 Things To Do In Seattle Before You Die by Jake Uitti will help tourists as well as locals discover some hidden gems.
The book showcases Seattle’s best restaurants, sports, shopping and entertainment. Its separated by categories so it’s easy to find what you are looking for. If you want to try a new restaurant, you’ll find something interesting in the Food and Drink chapter. If you are feeling adventurous, you might find something to do in the Sports and Recreation section.
Wondering what to do in the winter? Flip to the back of the book and find an index of options organized by season. There’s even suggested itineraries for “Family Time”, “Celebrity-Focused” and more!
Even though I’ve lived in the area for nearly 40 years, I’ve comprised a list of things I still need to see and do in Seattle before I die, thanks to this wonderful book! My kids have flipped through it as well and we now have our own little bucket list that involves everything from indoor skydiving to giant pizza.
