My kids are getting older now which means they’re finally getting bored with PB&J brown bag lunches. They want more variety and a something cooler than a lunch sack. My youngest daughter has been requesting mac & cheese for her school lunch. I knew she wouldn’t eat it cold so it was time to step it up and find a container that would keep her food warm. A Tyffyn from Vaya was the perfect solution. It even came in a soccer theme! Parker started playing soccer on a select team this year and it’s really become her “thing” so she was thrilled with her new lunch container.
A Tyffin consists of several parts: A base with latches that attach to the top cover and two stacking containers with lids that fit inside. The containers are made of copper-coated stainless steel. The lids are leak-proof with integrated gaskets for easy cleaning. They also feature a heat-protective finger grip to comfortably open your containers.
This particular style comes with 2 10 oz containers, each with a removable partition inside. The partitions offer flexibility. Remove the partition to allow more room for a main course or leave it in to separate foods — you can put chicken nuggets on one side and dip on the other side! You can purchase extra containers and they can be used by themselves to carry or store food. A 20 oz size is also available which is perfect for salads, one-pot meals or for sharing.
The Tyffyn features VacuTherm Insulation to keep your food hot or cold for 5-6 hours. It uses stainless steel pressurizing latches that secure your containers inside for safe keeping. The handle on top makes it easy to carry and it folds flat into the top for a sleek design. The Tyffyn does a good job of keeping foods warm. I do recommend heating your container prior to packing your food in. Just run it under hot water to warm it up.
My daughter loves having more lunch options now and thinks her soccer Tyffyn is the coolest!
Vaya also offers a beverage container called Drynk. This three-in-one container comes beautifully packaged making it a great option as a gift. I love giving my kids practical Christmas gifts that they’ll get a lot of use out of and that I know they will think are cool. Drynk fits the bill! They have a sophisticated look that will make your kids feel grown up.
Drynk comes with two different lids: The Sipper features a magnet that keeps the hinged lid open while drinking so it doesn’t bump noses. The Gulper’s wide mouth is great for sports drinks, or for sharing drinks with the pair of accompanying cups. I like the sharing idea because one of my three kids usually forgets their water bottle and someone always ends up having to share. Drynk keeps hot drinks hot for up to 12 hours and cold ones cold for up to 18 hours. My kids will love this for hot chocolate at their siblings sport events on cold days! Drynks come in a variety of colors and two sizes for all ages.
