I am not a morning person. At all. I have to mentally prepare for days when I’ll be leaving the house in the morning. Since I work from home a lot its usually not a big deal if I stay in my pajamas for awhile. I’m also a substitute Paraeducator though which means I’m often called into work last minute. On days that I’m rushed to get ready I can skip washing my hair thanks to Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo. This saves a lot of time.
Normally, I wash my hair daily because it’s fine and has a tendency to get oily at the roots. Dry shampoo absorbs excess oil and gets rid of unwanted shiny areas. Better yet, it also adds volume to my usually limp hair and it smells good too! My hair actually looks better on the second (“dirty”) day. It adds a bit of texture along with the volume at the roots and holds a curl much better than my freshly clean hair every would. I love that I have options now and am not stuck being forced to wash my hair daily.

It comes in five different formulas which include Refreshing Dry Shampoo, Refreshing Dry Shampoo Unscented, Tapioca Dry Shampoo Warm Sugar and Tinted Dry Shampoo in Medium and Dark. Many dry shampoos leave a white residue in your hair that is hard to manage. It’s supposed to comb through but it doesn’t always work. I’ve never had a white residue with Clean Freak, just a light matte finish which is awesome. I love that I can clean my hair without water, skip the blow drying and go straight to styling. It’s a busy mom’s dream and a must-have! You can pick some up at ULTA or Walmart. You won’t be disappointed!
