The Nescafe Dolce Gusto is not like your ordinary coffee maker. The machine looks nothing like an ordinary coffee maker to start and it is made a different way as well. It comes with dried capsules (pods) which include flavors of Chococino, Cappuccino, Latte Macchiato, Caffe Lungo and Caffe Americano. The Nescafe Dolce Gusto can whip up ten different hot and cold coffee beverage varieties including Cappuccinos, Espressos, Lattes and more in mere seconds. The machine also comes with the starter set of cup/saucer and glass as well. Our saucer was broken, but that’s ok. We probably wouldn’t use that part anyways.
The Nescafe Dolce Gusto is super fast, but one negative that we found is how it makes a single cup of coffee, but it never states to only add the appropriate amount of water, so my husband added a ton of water and the machine never shut off! Needless to say he created quite the mess. (I have a feeling he didn’t read the directions 100%.) He stated the coffee was really good though. The only other negative I could see is that you have to buy the specific pods which could start to get expensive opposed to the ground coffee. Nescafe is such a well-known and great brand though. If you register your product, you get a free box of the pods though, so that’s great!
Made by Nescafe, the world’s largest coffee brand, the Dolce Gusto retails for $149.99, with a special $30 rebate offered until June 30, 2010. The machine is available in black, red and cream and sold nationwide at Bloomingdales, Bed, Bath and Beyond, Sur La Table and online at www.dolce-gusto.us and Amazon.com. This would be a great product for Father’s Day other than the expected tie! It is an innovative and unique product. I must try the chocolate!!! mmmmm
