One of the best ways to save money and go green all at the same time is to recycle clothes. Have you heard of a clothing swap party and ever want to attend or host your own? Check out peace. love. swap. They are a one of a kind organization that not only produces ongoing kid’s clothing & gear swaps, but they also help moms start their own. Moms, getting together with other moms and exchanging their kid’s stuff- nothing is for sale- it’s all FREE for the taking– and locations are sprouting up everywhere!
peace. love. swap. was created by a mom – for moms. Swapping online or having a house party are both great ideas, however, most moms that try it end up with not enough stuff, stuff they don’t want, plus they have to pay shipping costs, take pictures of everything, have strangers over to their house & sometimes it’s just not what they expected. peace. love. swap. helps moms get successful ongoing (monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly) swaps started in their own communities across the country. These events are held regularly at kid friendly venues, not online, not in someone’s home – Venues where kids can play while their moms socialize & swap.
The swaps are large – anywhere from 50-100 attend our swaps (regularly!), and they are set up as if you were shopping in a store- everything is organized on clothing racks and tables. Leftover items from swaps always go to local charities and families in need. There are no forms to fill out, no pricing your stuff, no taking pictures, posting online, keeping track of online credits or points, & no mailing stuff or having strangers coming to your house.
