I’ve been a big fan of mineral makeup for quite some time now. Until recently though, I’d never heard of Advanced Mineral Makeup which are actually used by makeup artists on the set of Grey’s Anatomy and NCIS. This 100% natural line of makeup offers pressed powder compacts, loose powder foundation and liquid mineral foundation. Since I normally use loose powder and wanted to compare, I chose the loose powder for my review. I used the Celebrity Shade Finder to select the color I would try. I consider my skin tone medium. The color (in a different brand) that I normally use is called “Fairly Medium” so I selected Advanced Minerals “Angelina”.
The coverage was great however the color wasn’t quite right for me, at least in winter. I imagine the color will be nearly perfect in the summertime. I could be wrong but I think “Taylor” which is one shade down from “Angelina” would be too light for me. I’m somewhere in the middle. I’m actually wondering if loose powder colors can be mixed. I’m tempted to try it! At any rate, I really loved the application of the loose power. It went on smoothly and evenly and stayed put. I liked that it actually had coverage instead of just something super sheer. At the same time, it’s designed to look natural and flawless. If there’s just one product to use, this is it. This 4-in-1 product can be used as a powder, foundation, concealer and sunscreen (SPF 30)!
Unlike other makeup brands, it contains no parabens, preservatives, or harsh. chemicals that would irritate your skin. Instead, it improves skin and protects it. This product can be purchased at www.advancedmineralmakeup.com.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
