Remember when we reviewed Aeropostale’s clothes here and the P.S. line here? Well, I was sent an outfit that was too small for me. Aeropostale was so awesome they agreed to donate the outfit to Goodwill and then sent me a giftcard to conduct my review. I emailed to ask about Aeropostale’s chances to help with charity and this is what I received in their words:
Aeropostale is a brand that cares about its employees, customers and the local communities it serves and is dedicated to causes that are relevant to their customer. For instance, the annual Teens for Jeans campaign helps raise awareness about the growing number of homeless teens in the U.S. and Canada. This year Aeropostale encouraged people to think locally and act globally by helping homeless teens not just in their backyard but also in Haiti. To help kick start the campaign, Aeropostale matched the first 100,000 jeans donated with brand new jeans. In total, Aeropostale donated over 625,000 pairs of jeans to homeless teens in the U.S., Canada and Haiti. Our first annual 100,000 warm coats drive in November 2009 was able to keep families warm through the winter months. Our annual holiday bear campaign brings smiles to kids faces when they may not have a reason to smile during the holiday season. Every day our clothing donations help the less fortunate in shelters around the country through our partnership with Fashion Delivers. Aéropostale is committed to giving back and helping those that need it the most.
I think it’s great how charitable Aeropostale is and am happy to spread the word at how awesome they are!
