Luckily, the members of our family don’t have any severe allergies. My heart goes out to those families that do have to struggle daily to protect their children from allergens. AllerMates is a brand that was created by a mom for moms with kids who have food allergies, food intolerances, asthma or other health concerns.
The founder, Iris, is a mom to 3 awesome kids, one of which was diagnosed with severe food allergies and asthma. She wanted to find a way to teach him about his health concerns in a way that was fun and non-intimidating. She created stories and poems with allergy related characters to help kids understand allergy health issues and Allermates was born.
The product line consists of medical awareness bracelets and charms, medicine cases, activity books and more, each designed with fun AllerMates characters to make allergies and other health issues less intimidating for kids. Allermates also recently launched a subscription box service that delivers allergy-friendly foods directly to kids’ doors, so parents can discover new brands that are safe and delicious, too. The Goodie Boxes contain snacks free from both peanuts and the top 8 food allergens.
