If there’s one tangible thing I cherish in life, it’s photos and videos of my family and friends. One of my biggest fears is that I’ll lose my archive of memories if my computer crashes or my phone breaks. My grandfather recently passed away. He had Alzheimer’s Disease and one of his most favorite things to do was look through photo albums. His memory of people and events from the past was great, even if he couldn’t remember what he had for breakfast. My kids loved looking at photos with him as he told stories about the images. I took this photo of my grandpa and my daughter, not knowing it would be one of the last but knowing that I would want to cherish this sweet moment between great grandpa and great grand daughter for the rest of my life.
I take tons of photos but I’m horrible about printing them out, putting them in an album or framing them. Still, my photos mean a lot to me! I love looking back at them and remembering good times. A couple of years ago my computer crashed unexpectedly (as they tend to do) and I completely panicked. What if I had just lost several years worth of photos and videos? Fortunately, an employee at the Genius Bar at the Apple Store was able to recover my files and I dodged a bullet. That’s when I decided I need to be proactive and protect my files.
In June we took our first family trip to Disneyland. The pictures are still on my phone. They are also now on Amazon Cloud so I can rest assured that these treasured memories are safe! I can also now delete them from my phone, freeing up some much needed space! I can still access them from my phone though because I have the Amazon Photo app (available for iOS and Android)! This app automatically backs up my camera roll and offers access to all of my files via the cloud. Since I never take photos with anything other than my phone, I never have to worry about losing any of my photos and videos and they will no longer clog up the storage on my phone!
This little cutie turns FIVE this weekend. She’s my baby and I’m holding tight, grasping at the precious moments of her earliest years so I won’t ever forget them. Amazon Cloud Storage locks them down and secures them for me so I’ll have them forever. Thank goodness for technology!
Amazon Cloud isn’t just for photos and videos. You can also use it for your music files, movies, and documents. All of these can easily be shared via the Amazon Photo app or by selecting a folder or file to share using the web interface on your computer. Choose to send it via email, grab a link or share it directly to Facebook, all at the click of a button.
