Our Elf Magic Elves, Wilson and Kaitlyn, have been spreading cheer to our family this holiday season with little surprises and silly games. A few days ago they printed off some coloring pages and gave Jackson and McKinley each a new box of crayons. My kids have been enjoying coloring a lot more than usual since!
My son always wakes up before anyone else and they first thing he does is search for Wilson and Kaitlyn. This means my daughter hasn’t really gotten the same experience with the elves. I think that is going to change because tonight before I went to bed I found Kaitlyn on the top shelf in the pantry with a bag of M&M’s. I wondered why Wilson wasn’t with her until I found him in the bathroom sink, also with a bag of M&M’s. I think Wilson was afraid Jackson might eat both treats so the two split up. Kaitlyn’s hiding spot is probably good enough that Jackson won’t find her before the rest of the house is awake, but if he does, she’s out of his reach. Speaking of out of reach, look where we found these silly elves the other morning:
I’m not sure how they got up there but they were hanging from our kitchen ceiling from their little elf shoes. The kids sure did get a good giggle out of this one!
Our elves must have really good listening ears. This is where we found them one morning:
They must have heard us talking about Jackson’s Show & Tell because they were in his backpack waiting for us to go! Clearly they were very eager to meet Jackson’s friends at school….
We’ve got less than a week left with our elf friends before Santa picks them up to help deliver toys on Christmas Eve. We sure will miss having them around. They’re really good at making us smile!
See what Wilson and Kaitlyn were up to earlier this month, then check out more about the tradition.
