There are no shortage of tech gadgets in our household. Even our children have their own devices. While we encourage our children to play outdoors and play with toys that foster their creativity and imagination, we also feel that it’s also important to be tech savvy. The following are our favorite tech gadgets and gear:
Apple iPad — The iPad is something our whole family uses. With a nearly unlimited supply of educational game apps for the kids, streaming movies via Netflix and easy web browsing we never run out of uses for this gadget. The battery life is awesome and only needs to be charged every few days. The Incase Book Jacket not only keeps our iPad protected but it looks good and allows for better functionality. The book jacket offers 3 position rails that securely prop up your iPad for viewing and a low-profile working angle that allows for comfortable typing. This premium iPad travel case features an enhanced suede liner on the interior and a pebbled texture on the exterior giving it a nice look and feel. The camera hole is precision-cut, allowing you to take pictures while keeping your iPad protected in it’s case. An elastic band secures the cover and keeps the screen safe for traveling.
- Apple iPhone — Like a mini version of the iPad, we love having access to all of our favorite apps on-the-go. From music to movies, calenders, email and more, this gadget keeps us connected at all times. We protect our phones with the Cygnett Ripple case. We’ve tried a lot of different cases but this one is our favorite. The case is made of scratch-resistant, impact resistant and flexible TPU material. The raised edges on the front help protect the screen while the ripple texture of the back helps prevent slipping. The Ripple case comes with a screen protector and a microfiber cleaning cloth.
- Seagate Go Flex — This device is super cool for several reasons. First, all of the kids movies can be stored on it so they don’t take up space on our iPhones and iPad leaving more room for apps. Secondly, for traveling, this thing is AWESOME. No more fighting over what movie to watch — Each of our three kids can pick whatever movie they want to watch — one on the iPad and one on each of our iPhones. The GoFlex is small making it very portable. Keep it in the glove box in your car or in your carry-on bag. You’ll never even have to take it out! Sweet, right?
- Jill-e Everywear Gadget Bag — This is a really nice bag. It’s super versatile and can fit many different configurations of gadgets. If it weren’t quite so square, you could even pass it off as a really nice purse. The nice thing is, it’s roomy enough to carry your gadgets as well as other personal items so you can actually forgo the purse if need be which is especially great while traveling.
- V-tech MobiGo — Using a touch screen for many of the games, children are able to practice their dexterity while drawing shapes and letters, plucking guitar strings and more. The games available for the MobiGo appeal to children and teach numbers, colors, shapes, letters, spelling, logic, observation, and music. The MobiGo also features a pullout QWERTY keyboard adds another learning dimension and appeal to the toy. It takes 4 AA batteries but they seem to last quite some time before needing to be replaced. My kids love their MobiGo!
As you can tell, we are Apple fans and I have to say I cannot live without my MacBook either! All of these gadgets get a lot of use by my family and come with high recommendation! What are your family’s favorite gadgets?
