We are big fans of Chinese food in our household. We like to have what we call Chinese Feast. A few times a year we make several chicken and beef dishes along with fried rice, potstickers and egg rolls. Some of it we make from scratch but other things are better off store bought. Potstickers are one of those things. Bibigo makes some awesome ones that are easy to make, taste great and as a bonus, are a healthier version from the norm!
I was really excited to give them a try and hopeful that they’d taste great. I wasn’t disappointed.
While I didn’t make a full out Chinese feast, I did make a quick and delicious dinner of fried rice with Bibigo Chicken & Vegetable Potstickers. You can make them a couple of different ways. You can boil them if you like them soft or pan fry them for a crunchier outside shell. We like them either way but prefer them pan fried. Since they are fully-cooked and frozen, it only takes a few minutes to fry them up with a little bit of oil. We do find that going easy on the oil then adding a bit of water and the lid to the pan for a few minutes cooks them to perfection.
This whole wheat version with whole grain wrappers doesn’t detract from the taste at all yet adds 17 grams of whole grains and 4 grams of fiber per serving with a bit of a nutty flavor. Paired with the savory filling, it’s a perfect combination. Even my kids liked them! They are also available in BBQ Flavored Chicken.
