I despise our internet company (which shall remain nameless). Our bill was constantly raising for no reason and now every year we have to call and have it lowered. The signal is constantly going in and out. We have a technician repair this signal problem and it happens again. It’s a vicious cycle. We have considered transferring to Verizon’s FIOS.
The FIOS has advanced fiber optic technology that allows you to watch HDTV with less weather interference or interruptions. FIOS has been rated #1 in value, overall quality and customer loyalty, according to the 2010 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) Survey and the Highest in Residential Television Service Satisfaction in the East Region by J.D. Power and Associates the past 3 years.
The really neat part is the Flex View. Purchase, rent or watch on-demand video titles on your FIOS TV, computer or your mobile phone. How neat would this be for those long car ride trips to grandma’s house? Verizon also has Media Manager which allows you to access media content that is on or streamed from your PC. Access digital photos, music files, Internet radio stations, home videos and more!
Since I am a Facebook and Twitter addict, it’s great that the FIOS has these widgets. Now, I can start tweeting to all of the other die-hard television fans that agree the shows I watch are the greatest shows on this earth.
I am just really amazed how much the FIOS can do! There is so much more even! Here are many reasons of how it can make my life easier:
1. I can DVR my Real Housewives shows. Yes, I am addicted to Real Housewives Of … on Bravo. I left the … because I watch every single season/city. I am also addicted to Teen Mom. So, since these shows don’t come on until 10 pm, which is after my bedtime, this would simplify my life.
2. I can pay more attention to my children. Instead of saying, “Huh,” every 5 seconds when the children ask me a question as I am trying to watch a show.
3. Maybe my internet will start to run faster. I swear this internet can run as slow as a snail sometimes! I won’t ever miss the latest deals and/or emails anymore! Bonus!
4. Having over 230 channels seems insane! Even with us having HDTV and many of our channels being doubled due to high depth, we don’t have over 230 channels. This could be a con. I may never leave my television hehe.
See if your neighborhood has FiOS. Let us know if you have Verizon FIOS and what you like about it. It seems so interesting that it definitely makes a good case for how appealing it can be!
