Happy S’mores Day! Our family usually does s’mores Reece’s style over a campfire but I think we officially have a new favorite. We used a Sante Nuts recipe courtesy of George Duran to re-create s’mores in a cone.
Ingredients:
Waffle Cones
Mini Chocolate Chips
Mini Marshmallows
Chopped fruit (we just used strawberries)
Sante Nuts (we used candied pecans)
For a party or just for fun, put each ingredient into separate bowls.

Enjoy!
The special ingredient in this recipe that really makes a difference is Santé Nuts. They make 9 different flavors of spiced and candied pecans, almonds, walnuts, cashews and pistachios using a special roasting method that allows for less absorption of oil into the nut. That makes for a healthier product and the perfect balance of sweet, savory, spice, and crunchiness. Santé Nuts are available in re-sealable pouches for cooking and baking and 200 calorie single serve packs that are perfect for lunches, hiking or any other on-the-go snacking.
Santé Nuts are gluten-free, peanut-free, vegan and non-GMO. With a wide range of flavors from spicy chipotle almonds, to warming cardamom cashews, and sweet candied pistachios, there’s a flavor for everyone!
We sampled Candied Pecans, Sweet & Spicy Pecans and Garlic Almonds. The Candied Pecans of course were perfect for S’mores Cones but I enjoyed the other two flavors just as much! The Sweet and Spicy Pecans satisfied several cravings at once and the Garlic Almonds were so good I had to stop myself from eating the entire package in one sitting.
Nuts make a great healthy snack and I love the variety that Santé Nuts offers. You can find out more about Santé Nuts at www.santenuts.com.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
