Gadgets such as iPhones and iPads aren’t just for adults. In fact, there is an unbelievable selection of educational and entertaining apps for children. As parents who want to expose their children to new technology this is great but sharing your device with your toddler doesn’t come without risk. Toddlers are drawn to buttons. Luckily iPhones, iPads and iTouch devices only have one button to worry about — the home button. Paperclip Robot created a simple solution for protecting your data while still allowing your children to use the touchscreen. They call it a Bubcap. This adhesive backed home button cover is rigid which makes it difficult for toddlers to press the button through it yet it’s flexible enough that adults can still activate it with firm pressure. There are two designs: standard for younger toddlers and semi-rigid for older toddlers or for those children who are more intent on pressing the home button. An intro pack comes with two of each so you can experiment with what works best. A four pack of Paperclip Robot Bubcaps retails for around $6.
