Between running the kids to and from school and sports, grocery shopping, cooking etc., who has time to focus on being “green”? This series is all about easy ways we can make a difference that don’t take a lot of time or effort.
If every American home replaced just one light bulb with an Energy Star qualified bulb, we would save enough energy to light more than 3 million homes for a year, more than $600 million in annual energy costs and prevent greenhouse gases equivalent to the emissions of more than 800,000 cars (Energy Star)
Wow, and that’s just ONE light bulb! Why not commit to replacing all of your lightbulbs with energy efficient bulbs? You don’t have to go through your entire house switching them out. Just buy a pack and replace them as they burn out. While they may be more expensive than traditional lightbulbs, they last longer and will actually save you money over time.
