It’s almost a new year! Have you set any fitness goals for the year ahead? I’ve already gotten a jump on my resolution to get more exercise with my new Crossrope set. Just download the free Jump Rope Training app by Crossrope on your iOS or Android device and set up your profile. You can connect it to your Apple Health profile if you have one to track your workouts and progress. Next, select a workout or challenge and get started!
New workouts are added weekly so there’s always something new to keep your workouts fresh. You can choose from advanced and beginner workouts in strength, endurance or HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) depending on what your goals are. I started with a beginner workout called “Break the Ice”. It was a good one to start with because the workout was only about 10 minutes long. The app tracks your completed workouts and challenges and tells you how many calories you burned.
I really like the workouts because each exercise only lasts 30-45 seconds with built in rest periods. It’s super easy to follow and it’s not all jump roping either! They switch it up with mountain climbers, squats, and other exercises that can be done without any extra equipment. Don’t worry if you aren’t familiar with the exercises because the app shows you exactly how to do them!
The Get Lean set I am using was designed for weight loss and cardio. The ropes are lightweight but you can build up to heavier ropes. The handles allow you to quickly switch out the ropes during your workout. You might do a block of exercises with one rope then switch it out for a different rope for the next block. The workouts are voice guided so you can just listen and follow the directions.
The jump ropes and handles are really nice quality. The handles feel good in your hands and have a good grip so you’re less likely to drop them. The have a patented fast clip connection system for quick rope changes. The ropes themselves are really durable and tangle-free.
