We first experienced Disneynature when Bears came to DVD and my kids really enjoyed it. We had been looking forward to Monkey Kingdom and we were not disappointed! In fact, my kids actually enjoyed this one a lot more and have already watched it several times. They talk about Maya all the time like she’s one of their friends!
Monkey Kingdom is set among ancient ruins in the jungles of South Asia and centers around Maya, her monkey family and their struggles. The film is narrated by Tina Fey. We learned a lot about monkeys while watching the film. Did you know monkeys can swim under water? The filming of this is pretty spectacular!
Disneynature’s Monkey Kingdom arrives on Digital HD, Disney Movies Anywhere (DMA) & Blu-ray Combo Pack on September 15. Pick up a copy during the first week and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Conservation International to help protect endangered species in their natural habitats across Indonesia, Cambodia, and Sri Lanka.
