It’s almost the start of a new year. That means new dreams, resolutions and changes. The new OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network is launching on January 1, 2011! OWN programming will include original series and specials, all focused on entertaining, informing and inspiring people to live their best lives. In honor of the new year, new year’s resolutions and living the best lives we can, OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network and TwitterMoms are asking us to share a blog post about our dreams and plans for new possibilities in our lives. Powerful, but here goes nothing.
My number one dream is to continue to raise my kids and watch them grow while growing old with my amazing husband. He truly is the best thing in my life, just as my kids are, so I look forward to seeing us all grow and our children become their own individuals.
The year 2011 is going to bring a lot of excitement and challenges. My husband comes back from Afghanistan, which is something I am looking forward to beyond belief! We are headed, as of right now, back to Texas so that he can train to be a pilot. We lived in Texas for a year when he trained to be a navigator and we loved it, so if this is where we go this year, then I hope we like it as we did before.
I have really enjoyed being able to stay home with my kids while working on the website. It allows me to try new products, feel like I am contributing in a few ways, earn some income and enjoy what I do. I hope to continue to do this and just keep expanding. I don’t want to give too much away, but this is an aspiration of mine right now and I would love to contribute more to my family, while being able to travel with my husband.
Lastly, I hope to enjoy life by doing the things I love. I love to travel. I hope to continue to take great vacations, see the world and experience as much culture as possible. I want to open my children’s eyes to the fact that this world is large and there is so much to see. I grew up in such a small town and see so many people that stay there. They have no idea what the world has to offer and it’s kind of sad. There is so much to learn, so much to see and our lives are so short.
So, bring on the New Year, bring on new possibilities and cheers to you all!
