I am constantly looking for new snacks for my kids so they don’t get so bored. I don’t want to sacrifice the taste for healthy options though. We got the chance to try Bear Naked cookies, Stretch Island Fruit Strips and Metromint water.
Bear Naked’s new 100% Pure and Natural Soft-Baked Granola Cookies—Tasting as fresh as a homemade cookie, one serving of these delectable, all natural treats offers 10 grams of whole grains. Available in Fruit & Nut and decadent Double Chocolate. The best part- your kids will love them too!
These are some of the best cookies that are healthy that I have ever tried. I love that they are 100% pure & natural. The double chocolate is my favorite! There are pieces of chocolate inside. They don’t leave bad aftertastes whatsoever and are truly really great. The cookies are definitely soft though and can break easily, but they are definitely worth it! They are only 130 calories per cookie as well!
Stretch Island Fruit Strips—A portable fruit option that allows you to eat your favorite fruit flavors during any season. Each strip has a half serving of real fruit at only 45 calories, offering a guilt-free snack that doesn’t discount the desire for something delicious. Available at Starbucks. These are a great alternative to sugary candies for kids and easy to grab and enjoy on-the-go.
When I first opened them though, the color of the fruit strips looked different. I am used to the Fruit by the Foot where they are colored with artificial colors. Honestly, these are not for me. They did leave an aftertaste and just kind of tasted a little odd. My kids didn’t seem to mind though. I think they thought it was fun to unroll the fruit strips since they never get any treats like this. I do love that these are portable and can go in a diaper bag really easily. They are also mess-free which is always great in my opinion.
Metromint— Opt for the sweet, guilt-free treat that is sure to satisfy all those sweet cravings and land your readers on the “nice” list! Available in seven festive varieties, each zero-calorie, zero-preservative Metromint water puts a new spin on the candy cane.
I have to admit it was really hard for me to try Metromint water. It is hard for me to even attempt any flavored water. The thought of it just grosses me out. So, I let my children try the water. They are huge milk drinkers mainly, so I figured they would open this with welcome arms. They told me the chocolatemint was their favorite. (Of course!) I love that they could have a refreshing “treat” without adding unnecessary additives.
