The latest in gadget charging devices is the Energizer Inductive Charger. The sleek design of the Energizer Inductive Charger coupled with it’s complete ease of use makes it an ideal charger for all of your electronic devices. It provides cord free charging for the iPhone 3G & 3GS and the Blackberry Curve 8900 via a sleeve or door accessory with space for two devices plus one additional device via a USB charging port. The Energizer Inductive Charging Station is compatible with Qi-enabled devices such as phones MP3 players and cameras. Since the charging area is cordless and doesn’t use magnets, precise placement of your device is not required. Blue LED indicator lights lets you know when your devices are charging and standby mode prevents over charging.
In the future, many devices will be manufactured with Qi built-in making the door and sleeve accessories unnecessary. The Energizer Inductive Charger has a suggested retail price of $89.99 with the iPhone Qi Sleeve and Blackberry Qi Door priced at $34.99 each.
I like the Energizer Inductive Charger because it is smaller and more attractive than similar products. But just like the similar products, I don’t like the fact that you have to purchase additional “accessories” to get them to work. With so many cute phone cases, I don’t really want to use a plain black Qi sleeve. On the other hand, it really is nice to just set your phone down and have it charge without having to plug it in. We charge our phones in the kitchen and I used to plug mine in while I was making dinner. Then I’d get a phone call or check my email and forget to plug it back in. With the Inductive Charger, I just set it back down when I’m done to return to charging. It’s great!
