We don’t have an office at our house and very limited desk space. We actually don’t even use our desk for a computer now that our Beta fish lives in a small tank on the top of our tiny desk. Blue the fish shares the desk with our new printer which is perfect for small spaces. The size is just one of the many things I love about the Epson Expression Small-in-One Printer. Another thing I love is the convenience of printing great quality photos at home.
I recently hung a gallery wall in my hallway. This was an overwhelming task for me and I was so excited when I finally got everything up. Even though it was hung, it still wasn’t complete. I had a couple of multi-photo frames that had been sitting for years waiting for me to fill them with photos. This task seemed almost as daunting has hanging the gallery items! The frames had space for different size photos, 4×6 and 3×3. Printing the 4×6 photos with the Epson Expression was super easy because you can purchase 4×6 size photo paper and load it into the correct tray. In the past I had just ordered the sizes I wanted from a photo service but odd sized photos aren’t always available. I also had so many frames to fill I wasn’t sure exactly which photos I wanted to use. Being able to print them from home gave me the convenience and flexibility of quickly printing the photos I needed if some didn’t work out the way I wanted them to visually.
The 3×3 size photos took a little trial an error since the printer is new to me but I was able to print any size photo I needed up to the size of a standard piece of paper. I could also easily print them in black and white if I wanted without having to edit them! This printer offers superior photo quality with 5-color inks and prints crystal clear borderless photos up to 8″x 10″. The Epson Expression is fast too — 4×6 photos print is as fast as 15 seconds! For documents you’ll see speeds of 15.8 pages per minute in black or 13.3 pages per minute in color.
The Epson Expression was designed for convenient, hassle-free printing. It features hands-free, voice-activated printing, built-in USB and memory card slots, a 2.4″ color LCD, and dedicated photo/DVD trays. You can easily print from your iPad, iPhone, Android tablet or smartphone – with or without a router. I had never been able to do this before because I couldn’t figure out how to set it up but it was super easy with this printer. I really appreciated the user-friendly set up of the machine as well as the fantastic customer service I received. I did encounter a problem when I was first setting up my printer. I called customer service for help. There was no hold time and the person on the other end of the line was easy to understand as she walked me through some troubleshooting. Unfortunately the unit I received was defective but they immediately sent me a new one. I was quite satisfied with the way they handled the situation. When the new unit arrived, I was able to easily set it up without any further assistance. I have had printers in the past that were very problematic and took forever to set up even with the help of customer service. I was so thankful that wasn’t the case with the Epson Expression.
I can even print from my phone now which I was never able to do before. The XP-6100 is also compatible with Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant for easy hands-free printing on command.

I love having a great printer that I can get creative with, especially for holidays. My kid’s school decided not to allow Halloween costumes this year but my daughter still wanted to wear something fun. I helped her make this Hydroflask t-shirt using Epson Iron-on Cool Peel Transfer paper. We just found some images she wanted to use and turned them into “stickers” for her Hydroflask themed shirt. The pineapple is an iron-on we purchased and the Hydroflask logo I made with my Cricuit machine. At first I was stumped on how to make custom colorful stickers until I found the iron-on transfer paper. We just printed the images we wanted right onto the transfer paper then cut them out and ironed them onto the shirt. Pretty cool stuff!
A few years ago we made custom Valentine labels and my kids thought it was awesome! I had forgotten about it until my kids brought it up. They want to do it again this year and since we have an awesome printer, it will be a piece of cake! You can find out more about making your own custom Valentine labels including a link to a template in my Sweet Valentine DIY post.
These are just a few of the cool things you can make and the great features of the Epson Small-in-One Printer. You can find out more at Epson.com.
